Oh, Freeware!

Among my exploits through the hard jungles of UMWblogs.org, I have been fairly closely following Professor Polack’s Freshman Seminar entitled “The Games People Play.” That’s right, kiddies, I’m watching you, and I’m leaving comments on your posts. Cower in fear.

I feel like it’s worth mentioning that Electronic Arts (EA) has released the original Command and Conquer, the game that really set off the Real-Time Strategy (RTS) genre, as a free download.

It’s a classic. Great writing and all that, even the visuals aren’t too bad for a 12-year-old piece of software; details are available on EA’s official Command and Conquer blog, located at the link below.
